How to Integrate harmon.ie Classic with GCC High Environments
This guide explains how to configure harmon.ie Classic to work with Microsoft 365 GCC High environments. By default, harmon.ie connects using a multi-tenant application and automatically detects the government cloud. However, organizations that require tighter security and control may prefer to register their own Azure app and connect it to harmon.ie.
This guide walks you through the steps.
The process involves two main stages:
- Registering an Azure application in the U.S. Government cloud, including assigning the necessary Microsoft Graph and SharePoint permissions.
- Configuring harmon.ie Classic to use this new app by updating registry keys with the client ID, redirect URI, and tenant information.
Following this guide ensures your harmon.ie deployment can securely integrate with GCC High while complying with organizational and government requirements.
Step 1: Create the Azure app:
- Open Home – Microsoft Azure Government and navigate to Azure Services > App registration.
- Create and configure a new app as explained in Create an Azure app.
Step 2: Connect your new Azure app to harmon.ie:
- Add the Office365GraphInfo and EnableShareToTeams registry keys as explained in Connect your new Azure app to harmon.ie.
- Add the MicrosoftCloudService registry key and set its default value to US Government.
